Six individuals, including four Australian residents, one permanent resident, and one New Zealander, who were on the hantavirus-hit MV Hondius cruise ship, have had their quarantine period extended until late June. They are isolated at the Centre for National Resilience in Western Australia. The decision to extend the quarantine was based on advice from health authorities after two more passengers from Spain and the Netherlands tested positive for the Andes hantavirus. All six quarantined individuals have repeatedly tested negative for the virus.
